Why is shopping vintage & secondhand more expensive when buying from a reseller than when buying directly from a thrift shop?

What do you pay for when you buy from a thrift or vintage reseller?

Vintage and secondhand resellers spend time and money sourcing pieces for their shops. Sourcing can require travel, and the items must be purchased from the original owner or shop.

One of the benefits of buying from a reseller is that they've done the sourcing and curation legwork for us! No digging required. We pay for their expert-eye and unique taste.

Resellers often repair the items they source - fixing snags, small holes, missing buttons or broken zippers. They also (*should*) launder their pieces before sending them out to buyers.

Every item that gets listed needs to be photographed and measured. This is time consuming - but as a customer, I really appreciate when a piece is photographed and measured accurately.

We are all spoiled by Amazon Prime's 2-day free shipping phenomenon. But shipping stuff is not actually free. Know that someone is paying that cost!

This all depends on the location of the vintage boutique/seller and where you are located.
All of our sellers ship your items within 5 business days.

If possible. Have a look at the track and trace of your order to know the estimated time of delivery.

We do everything in our possibilities to ensure safe and rapid shipping.

If you received a track and trace number, please check the status of your order.
If the order should have arrived by now, reach out to the carrier as they have the best chance of retrieving your package.

Returns & Refunds

Make sure to have a good idea of the fit and the condition of the items you consider before purchasing them.
This is important to give items a happy new owner and to avoid disappointments.

Note that most of the items we showcase are vintage (and/or second-hand) items and therefore gently worn unless stated otherwise.

We try to have the descriptions be as thorough as possible.
If we can’t answer your question about an item, we’ll put you in contact with the seller.

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method.

Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
